I feel lucky and fortunate to have worked with Bela Development on a major renovation project! It was an entire renovation on the house that I grew up in, and there were a lot of details that I wanted to keep, while still modernizing the entire home, inside and out. Daniel and Michael guided me through the entire process answering all of my many questions and collaborating when we needed to get through a particularly hard problem that would arise. And when taking down all of the walls, as well as some structural walls and redoing all plumbing and electrical we ran into many surprises. They were fair and explained pricing when we had to negotiate costs so there were no misunderstandings between us. I had a great time as well, learning about how houses are constructed. We worked with Bela Development for project that replaced our motorcourt and added irrigation to our yard. We had been having issues with water from the road flowing onto property and flooding our garage and sinking pavers. Bela Development worked with us to develop a solution to the water intrusion that included regrading the motorcourt area to prevent the road runoff, properly compacting the substrate, and adding improved drainage to handle rainfall. We decided to replace the existing pavers with concrete with brick ribbons to prevent a return of the paver sinking. While the motorcourt was torn up we also took the opportunity to run an existing water spigot to the yard and to add both sprinklers for the grass and drip irrigation from the flower beds and to add some outdoor electrical outlets to accommodate the sprinklers and future plans for low voltage lighting. Working with Bela Development was a great experience. They considered carefully a lot of different options for handling the volume of water flowing onto our property and came up with a workable solution that we have great confidence will alleviate the flooding we were experiencing. They listened to our requirements, took the time to answer our numerous questions thoroughly, and walked us through all of the work they performed as they performed it. They kept to their schedule, hired efficient, professional, and high quality subcontractors and double-checked that their work was done to high standards. We love how the project turned out and have had several neighbors complement us on the results. We will definitely work with Bela Development for future projects.
